Flore de Serres et des Jardins de l”Europe was a journal founded by Louis van Houtte, owner of the most successful nursery of it”s time in Europe, and prominent botanist Charles Lemaire. Together they published more than 2000 plates between 1851-1858 that showcased lavish engravings of unique botanicals from around the world. From the collection, this hand-finished chromolithograph printed with high-quality inks on archival paper is presented in a mirrored finished frame with a linen mat.
