Macchina Del Tempo literally means “time machine” in Italian. The aptly named GV2 Macchina Del Tempo definitely looks like something Christopher Lloyd might have worn in Back to the Future. This retro-inspired time machine tells the time in an innovative and compelling new way. Instead of a traditional subdial display, this unique multi-function timepiece utilizes three separate dials. There is a small primary dial at 10 o’clock featuring a two-hand configuration to indicate the hours and minutes. To the right of this dial is a rotating disc at 3 o’clock that displays 24-hour time. A second rotating disc located directly below the main dial indicates free running small seconds. For convenience, there are separate setting crowns for 12-hour and 24-hour time.
